Andreas Larsson

Innovation Practice Advisor & Case Manager (temporary)

Andreas is Innovation Practice Advisor and Case Manager on a temporary assignment with MSF Sweden Innovation Unit. He is also an Associate Professor at Blekinge Institute of Technology. He has worked with global product development and innovation for the last 15 years together with companies such as Airbus, Rolls-Royce, GKN Aerospace, Volvo Cars, Sandvik Coromant, Sony Mobile Communications and Getinge Infection Control. He is a former Associate Professor and Head of Subject of Innovation Engineering at the Department of Design Sciences at Lund University, Sweden. He has extensive experience from practical design and innovation projects for people living at the base of the world’s economic pyramid. For example, he has been involved in developing a pedal-powered cassava peeler (Brazil), a biocoal oven (Indonesia), and innovation capability training (Brazil and Indonesia). Andreas earned a Ph.D. in Computer Aided Design at Luleå University of Technology in 2005, and was a PostDoc scholar at Stanford University’s Center for Design Research in 2008.
