Francesc Galban
Case Manager

Francesc is currently the Video Observed TB (VoT) case manager with MSF Sweden Innovation Unit, contributing skills in design, implementation and management of large-scale health development programmes in underserved and vulnerable communities.

Francesc brings great value to the SIU team with a multidisciplinary background and professional experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Barcelona and Peru, and clinical researcher and project manager at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, and the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. Francesc also has first-hand experience of clinical research management and working on international initiatives including the International Guillain-Barré syndrome Outcome Study (IGOS) in Scotland and Bangladesh, and translational research projects on point-of-care diagnostics in Sweden and Uganda.

More recently, Francesc has worked as Programme Manager at the University of Cambridge on a Human Hereditary and Health in Africa (H3A) consortium study, and at the Wellcome Sanger Institute as Development Manager.
