At the SIU, we practice a human-centered design approach to innovation projects. This means that we always put end-users first and ensure the needs are properly researched, understood and analysed as the first stage of any project.
We deploy a human-centred innovation approach, involving a wide range of stakeholders to explore challenges and opportunities facing MSF in the field.
We carry out concrete design and development cases, addressing operational needs through exploration of new products, technologies and services.
We design and implement new organizational processes and practices, aimed at improving the innovation capability of individuals and teams.
Our Innovation Process
Our innovation process is split in to three overarching stages: initiation, development and implementation.
Through the nine sub-stages, our process allows for solutions that both suitable for their context and users. Through repeated re-iteration, the product moves away from solutions that are generalised and towards context-specific technology.
